Chicken & Egg Donburi

You will need….

  • Rice (soft cooked)
  • 1 tsp Chicken mince or tenderloin
  • 1/2 Egg
  • Carrot, Peas, Onion
  • 1 pinch of Katsuobushi (bonito flakes)*
  • Soy Sauce few drops

* available at Asian grocery shops

How to cook….

  • Place chicken and vegetables in a sauce pan along with 1/4 cup of water.  Bring to gentle simmer.
  • Add bonito flakes and soy sauce.
  • Simmer until the vegetables are tender.
  • Beat the egg.  Turn up the heat on the sauce pan, and swirl in the egg.  Stir, and cook over low heat until everything is cooked through.
  • Serve on a bed of soft-cooked rice.
